Introduction

With great pleasure, The Malaysian Society of Animal Production (MSAP) invites all scientists, academicians, veterinarians, researchers, students, farmers and professionals from the animal industry and government agencies to the 42nd MSAP Conference on the 20th – 21st  June 2023. This conference will be held at Royale Chulan Hotel, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

The theme of this conference is “Sustainable Livestock Production in Facing Economic and Environmental Challenges”. The focus of the conference is to unlock the potential of the latest research, knowledge and technology to overcome the current issues and challenges faced by the livestock industry. The demand of sound economic and environmental sustainable livestock production are crucial in particular with the changing global  geopolitical  situation and the positioning of the industry to be more environmental friendly systems. Thus, this conference attempt to gather experts from various livestock fields to present and share its latest findings, experiences, and technologies in developing our future sound sustainable livestock industry towards better economic values to the people and environmental friendly.

The conference venue is located in Seremban, the capital city of Negeri Sembilan. There are several interesting tourist attractions in Seremban that are worth visiting. Among those includes: The Seremban Lake Garden, which is located within walking distance from the conference venue (Royale Chulan Hotel). It is a scenic park that features a large lake, jogging tracks, picnic areas, and playgrounds. If you are interested in nature, be sure to visit The Jelita Ostrich Farm which is a unique attraction that allows visitors to get up close with ostriches. Visitors can feed and pet the ostriches, and there are also other animals on the farm such as deer, rabbits, and goats. For history buffs, you can visit The State Museum Complex. It houses a collection of several museums that showcase the history and culture of Negeri Sembilan. The museums include the Cultural Handicraft Complex, the Minangkabau House, and the Islamic Heritage Park. For those who wanted to have shopping experiences,Palm Mall is one of the largest and newest malls in Seremban. It features a wide variety of shops, including fashion retailers, electronics stores, and restaurants. A further away from teh city center, AEON Mall Seremban 2 is another popular mall that features a large AEON department store, as well as a variety of shops, restaurants, and a cinema. Overall, there are many interesting attractions in Seremban that cater to different interests, whether it's nature, culture, history or shopping experiences.

Call for papers

Papers of relevant topics within the conference theme are invited for poster presentations. Contributors for the poster are required to prepare an abstract in English and should not exceed 300 words. The abstract should contain Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s), Abstract and keywords. The abstract should be factual and contain a concise but comprehensive statement of the problem and results. Plenary speakers are required to prepare a full paper up to 6 pages. Submit the document in Word format (.doc / .docx).
